A Guide for Local Church Involvement

Let Your Church Receive a Blessing!

Being involved in World Changers brings a blessing to everyone involved. Not only can your church minister to those who are recipients of construction projects, but also to your own members and volunteers. Many home owners who recieve help do not attend church. They are often so grateful for the assistance that they are willing to attend the church of those who are showering them with love and aid.

Be a Host Church

1. Your church can host a WC work crew on Sunday at your worship services and provide them with lunch.

2. Provide a noon meal for a crew (or several crews) during the week at the project site. Prepare the food and take it to your work crew so they can enjoy a good lunch each day.

3. Get acquainted with your WC work crew and volunteers.

4. Pray for and with your WC work crew.

5. Involve as many youth and adults as possible.

6. Offer to help with any needs they may have at the work site.

7. If you'r really eager to bless others, throw in a snack for the work crew for the afternoon.

Volunteer to Work With World Changers

1. You may be able to volunteer as a crew cheif, supervisor or a runner.

2. Help with any project that is short-handed.

3. Offer to help with daily clean up.

4. Be willing to serve wherever the need arises.

Serve on the World Changers Prayer Team

1. Pray for World Changers on a daily or regular basis

2. Get on the prayer chain for specific needs

3. Organize or attend a prayer walk for the ministry areas

4. Pray for any decisions and follow up ministries

Clean Up Operations

1. Provide a utility trailer for the trash at the work site. You may need to empty it daily, depending on the amount of trash.

2. Help arrange or pay for any city trash removal needed.

3. Bring volunteers from your church to police the area of trash.

Be Involved With Follow-Up

1. Establish a relationship with the resident who is being ministered too.

2. Find out and meet any other needs the residents may have.

3. Share the Gospel with the resident.

4. Invite the resident to your church.

5. Stay in contact with the resident.

Help with Financial Needs

1. Make a contribution to the World Changers project

2. Find out about any special financial needs that has not been met

3. Offer to pay for food cost for any work crew that does not have a sponsoring host church
