Project Description:
The Adventure Camp is designed for at-risk kids ages 8-12 that we assist in the lower income community around Salt Lake. The camp will be a day camp that will run Monday-Friday from 11:00a.m.-4:30p.m. Each day we will spend the first hour doing Bible activities/games with the kids. We will then eat lunch at our Center and the afternoon time will be spent taking the kids indoor rock climbing or hiking in the Wasatch mountains. Our overall purpose for this ministry is to share the love of Christ with these kids, provide opportunities for them they don't normally receive, and begin to build relationships with the kids and their families through our Adventure Camp.
What materials do teams need to bring?
Other materials mission team are responsible for: We would ask that if we can not provide enough vehicles for the team and the camp that the mission team pay for their own transportation to be used by both the mission team and the campers. We would try and provide a church for lodging/showers, but ask the team to cover food expenses.
