| Mission teams are a grat source for positively impacting your community without negatively affecting your church budget! Right now is the time when churches begin looking for places to serve in the summer of 2008. Your cost and responsibility is minimal compared to the amount of effectiveness a mission team brings. | Don't only think of your VBS, but also think outside the church walls! Here are a few ideas to help get your church thinking: kids clubs in parks and neighborhoods, sports clinics, women ministries, concerts, drama, service projects, flyer disribution and many more.

Kingdom Church Strategy Beginning in 2008
|
||||
| The Salt Lake Baptist Association is offering a brand new resource for any existing church or mission that wants to reach their community with the Gospel. Through a partnership between UISBC, NAMB and SLBA, local churches can sign up to receive financial and resource assistance to begin new outreach and off-campus ministries. Churches who become a Kingdom Church Partner may be eligible to receive $1,000 in mission outreach money, plus an additional $3,600 in mission staff matching funds. | The program has three main criteria:
1) Put a coordinator of missions / ministries on church staff 2) Establish a church mission fund and governing mission council 3) Report progress and praises to the SLBA quarterly The maximum financial assistance a church can recieve is $8,200 per year, but qualifications exist. |
Full details can be found by going to the Kingdom Church Strategy web page and downloading the information packet.
The number of churches able to participate in this pilot program is limited, so don’t wait to sign up. Financial assistance is limited to the amount of funds available and will be granted on a first-come basis.
